PhD Student at MIT | Electrical Engineering & Computer Science
I am a PhD student in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), grateful to work with Professors Marc A. Baldo, Suraj S. Cheema, and Luqiao Liu. My primary research focus is on (i) ferroelectric negative capacitance for energy-efficient logic and (ii) hardware accelerators for machine learning and probabilistic energy-based models. My broader research interests range from emerging materials and devices to computer systems architecture for energy-efficient computing.
I completed my master’s at MIT also in EECS, and my undergraduate studies at Seoul National University (SNU) in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and Materials Science and Engineering (MSE). At SNU, I had the honor of working with Professors Sangbum Kim and Jong-Ho Lee. I was grateful to receive the SNU Alumni Association Award upon graduation, ranking 2nd in the College of Engineering.
